Report of the Theosophical Society in Ireland 2020-2021

Following government instructions, namely on lockdowns and social-distancing, in-person TS Meetings (Belfast and Phoenix Lodges) and our planned All Ireland Convention, have not been able to take place since March 2020.

Since then, the Organising Secretary has been in touch with all the Irish members weekly, providing them, mainly digitally, with Study Notes, messages and uplifting quotations. They have also been given access to the many and regular communications received from, for example….Adyar, European School of Theosophy, The TS Philippines, Krotona Institute School of Theosophy and the Russian TS providing opportunities to link in to their Meetings by Zoom and YouTube. We are all grateful for these.

During lockdown, we have acquired a few new members for both Belfast & Phoenix Lodges who were able to learn about us through our theosophyireland website.

It is hoped that at earliest, by late September, in-person Meetings can resume again, assuming there are no further lockdowns and restrictions due to Covid 19.

We are very positive and look forward, with more freedom, to a more normal, uplifting and inspiring Theosophical year ahead. During this most unusual year, through digital communications and Theosophical magazines received, we have experienced a closeness and link with many countries worldwide and greatly appreciate this manifestation of true brotherhood in action.
