Account of the 17th All Ireland Theosophical Convention 2024
On Saturday 18th May…we very successfully held the 17th All Ireland Convention at the Carmelite Centre 56, Aungiers Street in Dublin. Firstly, it was so heartening to have attendees present representing many parts of Ireland…from Dublin, Wexford, Cork, Limerick, Galway, Lurgan, Dungannon, Coleraine & Armagh….from all four Provinces.
The many heartfelt and warm Greetings from representatives of Theosophical Societies around the world helped greatly to set the tone and no doubt enhanced the sacred atmosphere present. Following a short Business Meeting, Catherine Lenehan, President of Phoenix Lodge, led a potent and inspiring Meditation. There then followed a Talk on the Convention theme, ‘Practical Theosophy and the Joy of Service’ by the Organising Secretary, Marie Harkness. All was very well received. The sense of Oneness, of Unity, of Brother/Sisterhood in the room was palpable. Photographs of the occasion were taken and refreshments were served to all present. Before leaving, everyone was gifted a book, ‘Light on the Path’ by Mabel Collins.
We all felt this proved to be a very special and blessed occasion and came away feeling greatly uplifted.
